Tailored one on one counselling for adults of all genders who would like to reduce distress associated with their trauma and improve daily functioning. I specialize in trauma focused therapy and am experienced with working with a wide range of psychological difficulties which include:

• Trauma, PTSD, CPTSD, single incident trauma

• Experiences of sexual assault

• Family violence

• Attachment and relational trauma

• Anxiety, fear and panic

Fee: $190 for a standard 50-minute session, paid on the day of your appointment

Trauma counselling can make a significant difference in helping children cope with the effects of traumatic experiences. Counselling provides a safe space for children to express their feelings and share their trauma story, as well as learn effective coping strategies to manage anxiety, fear, and other emotions related to trauma. Therapy can help to reframe a child’s thoughts about the trauma and therefore reduce its impact. I use a mix of play therapy models, including SPT, EMDR, Sand Tray and Symbols. The child’s individual needs are assessed, and the treatment is tailored accordingly.

If you are a parent or carer referring your child for counselling, it is important that I have the opportunity to meet with you alone prior to working with your child. This allows for information to be gathered openly about your child, and for you to ask questions and to ensure that I am the right fit for you and your family. You will be given updates on your child’s progress throughout the therapeutic process. I also offer parent counselling, support and education, using evidenced based approaches, to help parents understand their child’s behaviours or symptoms.

Fee: sessions are 50 minutes at a cost of $190, paid on the day of the appointment.

I have been providing clinical supervision for a number of years to a range of clinicians in the sexual assault and family violence sector. Supervision is delivered one on one, in person or online. I provide a safe, reflective and encouraging space for supervisees to:

• critically reflect on self

• explore their professional identity

• identify strengths and weaknesses

• work towards specific professional goals.

• debriefing, to manage the stress and complexity of the profession

• skills building

• opportunity to address any transference or counter transference.

Fee: $190 for a 50-60 minute session

Upon contacting Reclaim Counselling and Consulting I will make contact with you for a 15-20 minute consult call to determine what your needs, goals and concerns are, and to ensure that I will be the best fit for you as your therapist.

We will then book an initial appointment where I will further understand your history and needs for support. This is also an opportunity to set some intentions for your counselling, and you can ask me more questions if you have them. If you wish to proceed, we will book another appointment.

We will revisit your therapeutic goals every 6 sessions. At this point, you may wish to continue or have a break and return in the future for another block of counselling.

Medicare rebates are available for clients who are referred by their GP via a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). You can access 6 sessions under a MHCP with a further 4 sessions available after a review with your GP.
